The re-birth of Boyd's Top Shelf

And on the seven (teenth) day (of the eleventh month, of this year) He *notice the capitalisation* emerged from His slumber *read drunken haze* to live *aka post random junk on rare and seemingly random occasions* again.

Yes, loyal readers, you're forever young idol has returned! And I here by decree that I shall hencforth be referd to as Doc.

The Eels get sodomised to the max

Boo Yeah... Go the Broncos.
That's much better play. How exactly is it that the broncs can be so ordinary *undersatement to the max* last week and then shit all over the oposition this week. I just don't understand. I think that the milkman and kyle - who were over here watching the game are in the same boat.

Any how this just in: Ralfy and Grant - not top shelf: not being at My place for the football event of the round; Kyle - near to top shelf, far closer than Grant and Ralf: he was here but he had already watched the first half, kudos though for insisting we buy pizza and more beer; Mlikman - Good Man - Following Kyle's recomendation of purchasing more booze *I may have planted some seeds here*, Milky drove us to the bottle-o, even though he wasn't drinking; Me - Bloody Fantastic: I'm just plain tops!!!

Fair Dinkum, how are you ment to pick that?

Bloody hell... have just finished watching the Canterbury Bulldogs vs. West Tigers game - but before I get to that, go the Broncos!!! how about the Friday game... Any way, the Doggies vs. Tigers... Crikey, but I would never have picked that. *incedently, for those who don't know the final score was 37 - 36 (i think) in favour of the tigres* I was shocked enough when with about 10 to go the tigers lead 36 - not-a-lot but then the dogs scored a shite load of points in about 8 minutes to level it, before the Prince knocked over a field goal just before the siren... incredible! *and the ref was dead set giving it to the tigers too, not unlike Mander to the Broncs on Friday* but then I settle in for a quick game of pool with the sports news on in the background and I hear the Sea Eagles thumped the Storm...

I think the posts title says it all.

The definitive list of the ALL TIME TOP 10 ACTION FILMS

Its that time of the week again, when I start work on the rediculous number of assignments that the good people at the Queensland University of Technology think I should complete, and inevitably start looking for other things to do to waste time, and Hence...

I will now post the finallised version of my ALL TIME TOP 10 ACTION FILMS list.

1. Predator - Obviously
2. Terminator 2 - Sorry Kyle but if you recon 1 was better then you are a dribbler
3. Die Hard - thought about adding the 3rd film to the list but decided it isn't exactly a conventional action movie... maybe more of a thriller? Anyway I haven't included it, if you disagree then you can sod off
4. Universal Soldier - Jean Claude and Dolph Lundgren, what more could you want?
5. Rambo II - the range of emotions Sly can convey without changing his sneer is incredible
6. Last Man Standing - Bruce is a champ... So is Christopher Walken
7. Desperado - Shooting random folk with guitar cases... classic
8. TimeCop - Supprisingly Van Damme has got two mentions in this list
9. Demolition Man - Again, Sly is a genious
10. Blade Trinity - I'm unsure whether I should include this one, its preaty good action though and the bloke from 2 guys and a girl (Ryan Reynolds?) is hillarious

Anyway I'm sure that was worth the wait... *for the record I would have done this last week but the spell checker deleted everything so I had to type it again* And with that I am going to have some lunch.

Surprise Second Posting

Greetings loyal readers.
I have decided that I have kept you all in suspense awaiting the momentous next installment of drivel that my fingers can churn out long enough, and since I am faced with the alternatives of getting off my arse and going to work or typing this rubbish I am pleased to say that in a 1 to nil majority vote I have elected to finally update my Blog.

*that was possibly one of the longest and worst constructed sentences in history*

I am now faced with the realisation that I have very little of note to pontificate about...

*incidentally, be prepared to read the odd ridiculously long and superfluous word on this page... I have a tendency to throw them in every now and then, even if it is in completely the wrong context*

Ah here we go I have thought of something...

It has been brought to my attention that I have not yet formed the definitive list of the top ten action films of all time, so I shall now do so. I am looking for input here people, I could easily flesh out this list on my own but Boyd's Top Shelf is not a dictatorship, I am open to others suggestions. With this in mind I shall now start the list and in the future update it as further suggestions come to hand.

ALL TIME TOP 10 ACTION FILMS

1. Predator - No surprises there, clearly the best movie of all time of any genre.

2. Terminator 2 - Number 1 was good, but number 2 was better.

3. Die Hard - Another great series, the first movie is the best though.

4. Universal Soldier - Jean Claude's best work *I think that's how you spell his name*, the rest of the series sucked though until his return, in the appropriately named Universal Soldier:The Return.

5. Rambo II - Another top series, I think everyone agrees that the 2nd film is the best.

6. ?

7. ?

8. ?

9. ?

10. ?

And lets not forget the worst action films of all time, they deserve a mention

1. Cyborg - A boot on the end of a broom stick? Shame Van Damme, Shame.

2. The Replicant - Again shame Van Damme. And shame on you Red Nut for making us watch it.

...

Alrighty, I have got the ball rolling, Now step in and help create the Ultimate in action movie ranking lists... The Boyd's Top Shelf All Time Greatest Action Movie List.

Kick Off

Greetings.

Welcome to Boyd's Top Shelf. Appropriately named really because I am infact top shelf, and my name is indeed Boyd.

I don't anticipate ever updating this page again, I created it soley to openly post stuff on other Blogs rather then having to use the guise of Mr Annonymous.

*Please ignore any bad spelling... despite my general fantasticness I do make the occasional error*
